Week 48: The Seven Week Transfer

Sorry, don´t remember if i told you guys before, but last transfer was 7 weeks to avoid the high travel costs of christmas, so we had transfers today. I´ll be here in Sal finishing Síster Lee´s training. No surprise there, but in another short 5 weeks i´ll probably be off to another island! Anyways...

This week was a bit crazy! Sister Johnson (the sister training leader here and my trainer) went to Praia for counsel to we were in a tripla with sister park. She left on monday Wednesday afternoon, so sister park stuck with us. Sister Johnson was supposed to return early friday morning, but for some reason their plane wasnt going to leave until that night. so we were in a tripla for a few more days than we planned on. So on Friday we decided to go to sister park´s area so that they could talk to some people, but we also lost a lot of time and appointments. so it was kinda a sad week. and i got sick (probably because i drank milk...my bad), but it was only for one evening and i was better by the morning.

I did receive some very sad news yesterday from Maria and José. They will not be getting married before I leave. I went through those one stages that happen for some reason that i cant remember... haha. well at first i was sad. then i didnt want to believe it. soon after I was upset. But now i´m just kinda bummbed. Sometimes I just wonder what more I could have done. It´s not so much that I wont be there, but mroe that they just keep pushing it off when I know that they could get married in two weeks if they really wanted to. One day they will get married and Maria will be baptized.

We do have some amazing investigators right now who are working hard on receiving answers. Adilson is one of them, he has a cousin in Porto Novo that I know who is a member, so he already likes the church. He came last week and to a ward activity. He already gets along with all the members so well. What a blessing when your investigator integrates themself! He has a baptismal date for the end of this month, so we´ll see how that goes!

Oh and Tanha (who was baptized with her two kids about two months ago) recieved a calling! She´s the very first ever Door Greeter here in Sal! We gave that idea to our branch president who didnt know what calling to give her.... haha she´ll be amazing and it will help with the investigators that we bring to church as well.

Well, thats all folks!
Love,
Síster Kohlert
